Mini Reverse Graffiti

“If you didn’t know anything about the truck, you would have just assumed that someone had drawn an illustration on both sides. So we really had to get in there and show how the process for the whole thing actually happened.”
“The agency had this campaign they were doing, called the MINI Spring Cleaning Sales Event. To drive awareness, they hired this amazing green-graffiti artist from Arizona. Scott Wade has become pretty famous for creating graffiti out of dirt and grime on cars. He is kind of known as the DiVinci of what they call ‘reverse graffiti’.”
“So the idea was for this truck to be a mobile billboard, with Scott painting or drawing into dust and grime. It was amazing to see what he does and they way he has learnt to paint with dirt on cars and trucks. You really have to see it, to believe it.”

“That really was part of what we had to achieve with this project. To show exactly how Scott went about creating this amazing artwork in grime. To get this across, we had to do a ton of time-lapse and documentation, to get all of that.”
“Scott started off by air blasting all of this grime and dirt on to the sides of the truck. And then he worked back into the grime. It must have taken him a couple of days to get all that dialed in.”
“When people finally saw the truck, they just couldn’t get what it was. They kept coming up and touching the artwork. It was so funny to watch their reactions when they suddenly realized is was all dirt!”
