“I’ve been very lucky to work on documentaries that run the gamut from quirky character studies to intensive journalistic investigations.”
“In this part of LA, people invite you to premier screenings at their home! We do that all the time here. When I finally put my own projector in our basement, we must have done at least 10 rough cut or premier screenings of documentaries. In fact, one of this year's Sundance winners, Kirby Dick's new film, 'The Invisible War', had one of its first rough screenings in my basement." Doug Blush”

MadPix’s latest film is the award winning documentary 'Of Two Minds'. Not only has this film recently made ‘Official Selection’ at the NewPort Beach, New York and Cleveland Film Festivals; 'Of Two Minds' won both the ‘Audience Award’ and ‘Grand Jury Prize’ at the 2012 Los Angeles Film Festival. More recently, 'Of Two Minds' won the 2012 United Film Festival award for ‘Best Documentary’.

MadPix Films is an award winning documentary company owned by independent filmmakers, Doug Blush and Lisa Klein. Located in Silverlake, California, MadPix exists in a place where independent filmmaking is happening on every street corner.

“I’ve been very lucky to work on documentaries that run the gamut from quirky character studies to intensive journalistic investigations. When Lisa proposed doing an in-depth look at bipolar disorder, we knew it would be an enormous subject that could easily be ten different movies. The key was to find a focus for this film, and we chose to focus on stories of real people dealing with all the facets of bipolar in their everyday lives.” Doug Blush

Lisa and Doug are a married filmmaking team with great passion for independent documentaries. Lisa Klein is a writer and co-director whos previous documentaries include 'What a Ball' and the Fox Movie Channel special interest doc, 'Cult Culture: The Poseidon Adventure'.

Doug is a multi award winning documentary director, editor, cinematographer and writer, who has worked on a wide range of major theatrically released films. His most recent films include 'Of Two Minds' and 2012 Sundance Audience Award winner, 'The Invisible War' which he edited and associate produced with Kirby Dick.
