Digital Sprockets

// Bosques de las Lomas, Mexico
"I have been working in production and post all through my university life. In fact, I was doing commercial production for a number of corporations here in Mexico when I was only seventeen years old, so I guess you could say that I have really grown up with all of the technical changes that have occurred in this industry.” Benjamin Fernandez Maribona

Digital Sprockets is a marketing communications and post production company based out of Mexico City and founded by Benjamin Fernandez Maribona in 1994. Digital Sprockets offers the latest advances in digital technology for the commercial production and post production of 3D TV, movies, BluRay and DVD. With extensive experience in the field of production, digital post production, telecine, film restoration, film recording, data to film, tape to film and DCP.

“The name Digital Sprockets came about when I bought my first telecine in 2004. I thought the name made perfect sense to anyone in the industry, which is true when you speak English. However, I soon found out that in Spanish, no one really knows what a sprocket is, so I am always having to explain the significance of that name to everyone!”

“Digital Sprockets has grown to become the third most successful post house here. As the company has grown over the years, we have become specialists in film transfer and restoration. We do everything from longform, shortform, TV commercials, Blu Ray - you name it and we do it! I guess you could say, we do everything from DCP and mastering from shorts to commercials to feature films. My experiences are very extensive and I do all of the color grading and restoration for Digital Sprockets using DaVinci.”
