4K Finish focuses solely on colour correction with Paul being the only colourist. 4K Finish opened with one main and very loyal client, and since then Paul has been able to build up an enviable client list with beautiful work.

4K Finish opened it’s doors in June of 2012. Paul Provost who up until then was probably best known as the owner of Post + Beam. After running a very successful full service post production company Paul decided that he needed to change with the industry and re-invent himself and created 4K Finish.

“When I started 4K Finish I built it from the ground up using Resolve. It was a real leap of faith starting 4K Finish because I was closing a full service post production company and opening a smaller more specialised company focusing solely on the art of color correction."

“I do a wide range of work, in that sense I feel fortunate because I am not really pigeon holed, which I know can happen a lot with colorists, especially in the very high end. In Los Angeles you tend to be a feature guy or a commercial guy, but because I am independent I can cater for almost all things through the scale. I have documentaries, features, episodic television, music videos, PSAs and commercials on my reel. I really want to continue doing range of work I do, so that is my focus on building 4K Finish.”

"I am really enjoying what I am doing. I think, for the first time in a very long time. It's because I am not just the owner of a company that looks after the business side of things, and I am back to working directly with clients and directors and DPs. I feel much more creative, and have been fortunate to be involved with some great projects."
