“As an observer, you get to see all the quirks and funny habits that people have. And not to mention the stories you hear.”
"I was lucky to grow up surrounded by creativity. And when I say surrounded I don’t just mean by the support of my family but my actual surroundings. My dad built our family home over the years as we grew up– nearly everything was done by hand with refined details. My mother has always been an artist as well– creating jewellery, cooking amazing cuban–texan meals and curating the interior of our home. Being artists themselves, they encouraged me to attend photography workshops in the Summer, pursue my interests and support my projects."

"I’ve always been a photographer at heart. I purchased a “watch camera” when I was around 12 years old, it was similar to something you would have found in SkyMall. The images were only 100 pixels x 100 pixels big. It’s funny to look back on but it’s how I started shooting."

New York based creative, Will Foster talks about how being completely immersed by creativity shaped his life and career. Will also talks about how brands are using different forms of communication to convert who they are.

"I grew up and went to school in Austin, Texas where my family still lives today. I went to Savannah College of Art & Design and studied Advertising with electives in Arts & Entertainment Management. It was a mix of art direction and marketing– a lot of brainstorming about who a brand is and what kind of a person they would represent. Throughout the program, we collaborated with other departments (like photo and video) to complete our projects. Throughout the four years, I always had a camera in hand shooting friends, family and weekend adventures."

"My first internship was at a record label in Austin, Texas– I was assisting with PR and online marketing. At the time, they were the only record label based in Austin. I got to see everything first hand, from recording an album and planning a tour to photographing live shows."

"We worked with a creative agency to build the bands image – I got to silkscreen some posters and sell them at one of the shows. It was a great way to gain an insight on the business."

"After graduating from college, I moved to NYC and began working in fashion. I was captivated by the industry and how brands are sometimes focused on the “lifestyle” more-so than the product itself.  A time where brands are turning to content and communication assets to convey who they are. It’s about telling the story and connecting with the consumer in a personal way."

"People watching is one of my biggest inspirations. Most people hate places like Times Square (on the surface, I do too) but it’s an amazing insight into our culture and the people that live in it. The same goes for music festivals, theme parks, and exploring big cities like Los Angeles and New York. As an observer, you get to see all the quirks and funny habits that people have. And not to mention the stories you hear."

"Lately, I’ve been working to refine my style and direction of my portfolio so I hope to push for that. Working with BRAVÒ, my experience has allowed me to understand the overall dynamic of the industry, the ins, outs and in-betweens. With that knowledge, I hope to be collaborating on new projects and traveling over the next year."
